What treatment are you taking to increase egg numbers?

How many cycles?

Fertility Stories - infertility experiences of people like you.

Unfortunately, some women respond poorly to hormonal treatments. If this protocol is not working well for you, your doctors may want to try another.

Do bear in mind that retrieving tens of eggs in a single cycle is also not considered a success. If you got 4 good ova, it may be better than 10 of which many are immature.

Good luck with your cycle - maybe you won't have to try another one :-)

All my best,

17 thumbs up

It seems that as our faces and bodies differ, so does our ability to react to certain stimulating drugs to increase follicular activity.  Some women have had the nasty experience of having over-stimulation and needing emergency intervention whilst others on the same dosage produce one measly little egg!  Four eggs is still great.  When I went the IVF route they discovered that I produced two eggs without any stimulation on a regular cycle and that the hormonal stimulation just shut everything down!  So it is very much a cat and mouse game.  All the best to you!! Remember it only takes one egg and one little sperm!  Be encouraged..!
