I tend to judge people by their personality, not by ethnic or religious belonging. Therefore, Just like in any other religion, I'm sure that there are many kinds of people, That's why I don't have an opinion on Muslims, As I don't have an opinion on people that have the same religious beliefs I have.

What about them?  What do you think about black people?  What do you think about Jews?  What do you think about Hindu people and Christians?  Don't let yourself fall into a trap of becoming prejudice or racist against an incredibly large group of people.  There are bad people that come from every race and religion.  It is incredibly dangerous to start pointing fingers at large groups... this is how genocides start.  Just as you wouldn't want someone to question what you are at large, it's unfair and unethical to do this to any other group.  There are non-Muslim people who fund terrorism and who support extremist ideas and fundamentalism.  The point is, that in this day in age, you can be suspicious of anyone and that's your right, but give people a chance, especially in the way you talk about large groups of people to others... what you say has a large effect on what others think.  Be smart.

I am not afraid of them.  I think each person has the right to be whatever religion they want.  I do not think any religion gives anyone the right to kill in the name of God.  Almost every religion has at some time persecuted others for not following their doctrine, and had radicals.  I have enjoyed sitting and discussing difference in religion with various people, same with discussing differing political views.  It was done in the spirit of education.  I believe in learning what I can about other cultures so that I can understand them better and thus live in peace more easily.

Islam is a huge religion with many different branches that is practiced in variations in many different countries. It's very hard to form an opinion on so many people that are practicing such a wide range of religious habits. Just like Chinese Buddhism is very different then the one practiced in Tibet or India, Islam have a lot of different styles.

Reading the Koraan, the basic story is very similar to Christianity and Judaism, A monotheistic religion that believe in an omnipresent omnipotent inviable god,  who's words and order comes to the people through a profit.

All those 3 religions, though describe a lot of battles and violence,  basically advocate peace and non-violence, and in all 3 names a lot of horrible violent and hateful acts were made.
