Zeak, look on the bright side of things.  P.T.Barnum saw the idiots and thought, "A sucker born every minute", and proceeded to take advantage of that fact.  Accept the fact that they are dense and try to take advantage of it in some way.  I have morals and scruples, but if you don't, they are easy to get money from.  If you have scruples, be glad that they are no competition for whatever endeavour you choose.  It might make being an artist difficult because that takes a mind to appreciate, but otherwise they are easy to please, and make great audiences for even sub-standard work.

   I could on and on singing the praises of idiots, but you get the idea.  It's a matter of perspective.  If you don't like what you see, change your perspective a little until they look like meal tickets or some other pleasant thing you desire or can use.
