THAT WHICH DOESN'T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER.

Bull. Reality is, it will usually hurt like hell and leave you with a permanent limp.

A:

I have 2 favorite Biblical stories: (1) Exodus 4:24 -26 Where , for some unstated reason, GOD was coming to meet Moses and was going to kill him. Zipporah, Moses' wife, takes a sharp stone and whacks the foreskin off her infant son and throws the bloody foreskin on Moses' feet. This so pleases GOD, HE lets Moses live. NOW that is a great tale. (2) Judges 11:4 - 40 (but esp. 30 - 40) Where Jephthah is drafted to fight against the people of Ammon, and vows to the LORD that if the LORD will give him victory, he will give up as a burnt sacrifice to GOD the first thing that comes to greet him when he returns victorious to his home. His ONLY child, a daughter, is the first thing to greet him when he returns; and he sacrifices her as a human burnt sacrifice to GOD, and this pleases GOD highly. Man, I LOVE a good biblical story.
