Fertility Stories - infertility experiences of people like you.

I don't know what it's like to become a father, but becoming a mother can be a pretty big shock. You suddenly lose your freedom, you have to plan everything, you're tired a lot of the time, you start tripping on toys...

Your life changes, especially if you're very involved in your child's life. Your priorities might change too - like you might actually prefer to take your baby for a walk than watch a game or you might feel really glad that you can give your partner a chance to go out for coffee with her girlfriends and have some time alone to get to know your baby.

Personally, I love being a mom and I can't imagine going through life without having had children, but I don't think it's for everyone and I think the sacrifice is very significant...

I highly recommend the following article:

Good luck with your decision!

Becoming a father is an important milestone in your life. It requires a great deal of maturity to deal with all the issues involved in raising a child. You will not have all the time you want to satisfy your personal desires because now you will be a co-leader along with your wife and that requires giving up many of the things you enjoyed doing as a young man with little or no responsibilities. BUT there are many compensations. There is no feeling more wonderful than having your child put his/head on your shoulder and falling asleep. You will be raising a new member of your family and enjoy all his achievements. Now isn't that worth giving up a few ball games?

Your life will just begin!

Basically you need to manage your attitude towards fatherhood. It's another task or mission, and a pretty major one. But it does not mean you cannot do anything else. Just that you need to manage your time wisely. Make room for the little one in your life, but do not abandon your own life.

"It's not what you do, it's how you do it!"

Just a thought, but have you ever thought about your child's safety?  I mean what kind of area do you live in? Who is around you? I am talking about sex offenders... I have been a father for three years now, and never thought about sex offenders living down the street from me, until someone ask me about it. I did a little bit of research on the net and found a web site called peoplefinders.com I lists all the sex offenders in your zip code. Scary!!! If I were you I would check it out... http://www.peoplefinders.com  Any who, good luck and congrats!!!
