I would check out a store that has a lot of jeans, like Gap, where they have different types of jeans for everyone.  You can see when you go into Gap that they have shelves and shelves of jeans.  That way you can try on all different kinds and see which are the most flattering on you.  Have fun shopping

Mossimo mid-rise jeans are the best fit. They do wonders at covering up troubled spots. They sell at very reasonable prices at your local Target store.

I agree that Gap jeans are a great choice. The long and lean style are mid rise and are supposed to create the illusion of length and are really flattering. They are also reasonably priced which is great if you want to get a few pairs in different washes/shades.

I know Gap has mid-rise.
