How am I doing so far?

Hi, Y'all! I'm redecorating my bedroom. Soft green walls, white celing, trim. Main piece, of course, the bed. Has a white spread w/a row of tulips (shaded light pink to magenta) at the bottom. Euro pillows (w/tulip heads only scattered) in green and bolsters in white w/tulips to match spread. Black octagon night stand with wrought iron lamp (like tall branches) with white glass shades. Armoire is black w/shutters. Sheer white roman shades w/very subtle green leaf print. White modern slipper chair w/small, narrow black and white pillow, black block legs. Due to small area between chair and window, I want to put an 18" w. x 52"h. baker's rack to serve as shelves/table next to chair in black or white wrought iron next to window. The rack I've chosen has lots of horizontal bars and I want to also use it to hold my scarves...I have many....as well as books. Way up in the corner at ceiling, I want to put a light behind an oriental rice paper parasol, hung at an angle, that has a very delicate scene w/birds/flowers...lots of negative space, so not real "busy". Am stuck for a headboard. Thinking about black, possibly oriental, very open, using curves. The graceful curve of the tulips and lamp prompt me to use the baker's rack and a curved headboard. What's my style? And is the baker's rack too "far away" from what I've started with? Should it be white instead of black? Should I do something to the armoire to make it "fit" better? Your advice most appreciated. Deborah Hilton Jackson, MS P. S. Now working on the floor to remove the paint my predecessors so kindly covered with carpet.

I think that a simple white or black headboard would look great! It sounds like you are doing a great job and have a very colorful and beautiful room in the works. Because you have a lot of design elsewhere, keeping the remaining pieces very simple would most likely look best. Good luck with your room I'm sure it will look great!
