Yes, I would definitely go through New England.  The best thing to do is to buy a couple Lonely Planet books.  You can see there what places interest you the most.  It also depends what time of year you are planning this trip for.  Once you see within the New England area, all the places you'd really love to go, you can look at a map to see what the best way to travel is.  I would head to your local AAA and bring with you the places you'd like to see along the way and they will print you a trip-tik (a detailed map) for the best route.  I hope this helps.  Have fuN!

you should take the route that makes you the feel the best because there are alot of killing there so you might die of a gun or even a knife so have fun whit your nice vacation
