At what age does a female child have to be before her Father should stop walking around in towels and in his underwear infront of her? Does it even matter?

Be honest and be true to yourself.

Hi Asha,

I think that when the daughter reaches  4 years old, the father should not be walking around almost naked.

Turn off the television and teach your children how to think.

Asha, in my opinion it really depends on the individual family and their culture and mores.

However, I believe most men stop doing such things when their children are old enough to notice the physical difference between genders and old enough to ask questions about it!

That means most men cover up by the time their daughters are about 8 or 9 years old (if not sooner).

If your husband is doing this in front of your daughter, I wouldn't get all bent out of shape in front of her. You don't want her thinking the human body is something to be ashamed of, after all. You might start encouraging her friends (and yours) to drop by without warning, though.

One or two times of being caught nearly in the altogether might put the kibosh on his behavior a lot faster than anything you could do or say!

it doesn't matter, she's going to fall in love with her father in both cases as much as she needs to understand that human body is not something to hide or be ashamed of.

i'm not saying the father should walk naked, but he can walk around in his underwear so that she understands. she's going to be curious anyway and will find a way to "sneak a peek"...

we were all children at some point and we all know that we were curious.
