I definitely believe in breastfeeding as long as it is possible. It is healthier for the baby and it creates a special bond between mother and child from the very beginning. I believe it is very important. Not to mention that I think it is what nature intended!

I have idiopathic granulomatas mastitis (tumors of the breast that fill with abcessess- not good for baby obviously), so no, I will not be breastfeeding this baby. I've had it since I was 18. Only causes are birth control pill and pregnancy. It is very painful and mimics carcinoma and inflammatory breast cancers. Glad my docs were very vigilant and thorough, so I didn't needlessly lose my breasts. So no, I couldn't breastfeed even if I wanted!
