A mother recently posted here that she wishes to discontinue her participation in Yedda because of the many postings on sex that she thinks are harmful to her child. What do you think?

I think that any parent's main concern should be to talk to their children and educate them about things like sex, that they are bound to be exposed to with modern technology. If a parent is going to complain about what their children find on the internet, then they should not allow them complete freedom to roam the internet on their own in the first place. There are much worse things that they could be exposed to than questions regarding sex.

This was her actual statement:

Why is Yedda fast becoming a dirty smutty site, unsuitable for children?

I shall be removing this from my list of useful sites. Shame! - it looked promising, but has sunk to a very low level of questions and answers.

I tend to agree with her, not so much on the questions of sex, but the language used to ask them. There are many young children that visit this site and do not need to be exposed to the vulgarities used.
It would be nice if there could be a section dedicated to this where a person would have to login to ask such questions or to answer them. Personally I am tired of some of the questions also and the immaturity of the person asking them. The surprising thing though is that most of these people are in the age range of 25 to 50 and should know better.
That is my answer and I am sticking to it.

I am your worst nightmare. An intelligent smart arse.

I know that at times many of my answers are sarcastic or said with a hint of humour, but even i get tired of all the sexual questions. at times i want to answer them but know my response may be to vulgar to answer the really stupid and asnine questions, so i keep them to myself

I say lets clean up the questions, it may put me out of business, but i can survive.
