my total cholesterol, ldl's, hdl's and triglycerides are ok, but my ldl particle numbers are not ok. how important are ldl particle numbers, and how can I bring them down?
Hi,
There are large LDL particles and small ones. The Large ones are more healthy than the small so two people can have the same amount of cholesterol but they might have a different chance of developing atherosclerosis because one of them has more small particles than the other. You want to have few LDL particles in your blood and a good way of doing this is by cutting down on foods with the "bad cholesterol".
Good luck with this.
