My abs light has come on after driving about 20 ...

My abs light has come on after driving about 20 miles. when car shut off and restarted light is not on until car driven about 20 miles. it is a 2003 mazda tribute with about 90m mi, is this something I need to take care of Immed or can it wait

Quite normal. The "Reporting System" must register a certain amount of failures before a "Code" is "Registered". What code is it throwing? Auto Zone, Schucke, Cragen,Orielly,Checker will "Pull" the "Codes for U if U don't have a reader. There are "Sensors" in the Wheels that often go bad for numerous reasons that will not effect Ur "Stopping Power", but until U "Pull the Codes" U won't know. By All Means, if it doesn't "Stop" right or "Feel" right, Park it!   John

The problem is that you don't need to worry about an ABS failure until you have to make an emergency stop to prevent an accident. I would pull the trouble codes to locate the area of the problem. Then have a certified brake specialist evaluate the problem and recommend the repair
