Is this fair compensation for my back injury due to a car accident?

Hi, I wanted to know if the payout i was receiving was fair compensation for the injuries i received in a car accident i was in last December of '08. I had to go for many therapy sessions and it seems i sustained long term upper back injuries which effect my lower back. I wake up every morning with a stiff back and I feel very uncomfortable sometimes. Now I'm only 18 years old and if these are going to be long term injuries then I'm sure it will effect me in the future. The insurance was offering me close to $6,000.00 for pain and suffering after paying off my medical bills which I don't believe were over $1,000.00. Is this a fair compensation? Or should I try to get more seeing that this injury could lead up to back surgery or other chronic issues? Thank you!

I would suggest you run the question past a back injury lawyer. They will know what represents a fair level of compensation. You could probably do the whole thing online. Hope this helps and that your pain isn't long term.

It is better to consult with a personal injury lawyer.I believe you are entitled to fair and just compensation so it is the job of a personal injury lawyer to fight the compensation you deserve. Usually, fair compensations include expenses you incurred for medication, physical and emotional pain and suffering, and maybe punitive damages for serious misconduct. You can learn more from Chicago civil rights attorneys.

You must speak with an Attorney. There are several incidents where insurance companies play under-hand tactics to reduce/nullify injury compensation claims.
