Is it just a fact of life to always be tired once you hit your thirties?

Do you think it's just something we must accept that we are always going to be tired and low on energy all of the time once we hit our thirties, or are there any tips you could provide to alleviate this?  I need to put more pep in my step, but I commute to work, and have to get up at 6 a.m. and I'm usually not home until 6:30 p.m.  I am always tired and it seems to be taking all of the joy out of my life lately.  It seems my life is lackluster, even my hair is lackluster, and no matter what I do, I can't lose the 10 extra pounds I'd love to take off.  Other than that, I'm in good health, but I don't feel that in my early 30's I should already have to throw in the towel.  Please help.  I feel like I'm 60.

It is all in what you eat.

Start consuming more vegetables and some fruit, exercise (fast walking) a few times a week (although you may think it hard now) and your energy will be back to you. Find a hobby, or something that makes you happy to do - and giver yourself a few hours a week to have fun with it.

Try to find the best Homeopath - according to feedback on the net , among your friends etc.

This is a typical area when regular doctor fail , and the Alternative medicine (there are plenty of types) - give you the right diagnose and treatment.

good luck

Are you sure you sleep enough? I think we are supposed to sleep something like 8 hours a day but most of us don't. It's been a while since I tried it myself, but I'd love to try it for a while.

I feel tired since the age of 20 - I started a new job, started sleeping less than before, and never quite got back to the good sleeping habits of my teens.

If you haven't read Ultrametaolism and Untraprevention yet, go out and get them.  You can find out more about the author, Dr. Mark Hyman, here:

Your metabolism does change in your 30s, but there is a lot you can do to beat it.  definitely change your diet to one featuring whole foods and low in processed foods, make sure you are getting enough sleep, but above all, exercise and get fresh air.  I know when you are tired and busy, you feel like the last thing you have time for is exercise, but really, take a ten-minute walk on your lunchbreak, or put on your running shoes and take a 15-minute jog around your neighborhood when you get home.  It will energize you when you are awake, and help you get a better night's sleep so you feel rested.

Good luck!

I'm 33 and feel the same way. My life is not the same I have 7 kids and I'm a stay at home mom. I can not remember the last time I got to go to bed before 11pm and got to stay in bed. But my granny who had 5 kids is 82 and goes hikeing on thur. and sat.on fridays she goes to nashville for the big dance contests and yes she does compete. The other days she baby sits for pay. She says when your tired your lacking in dirt to go work out side in the garden. And yes it works.
