If my expired passaport is missing a corner (the office procedure), is the visa in it still valid?

I have a valid US visa for 10 years and my passport is expiring. I will renew my passport and travel with both passports but what happened if the office in my country cuts a corner out of my old passport? This is a standard procedure in my country. And the visa page is also cut? Is it still valid?
