A:

For me it's been chronic pain, but the doctors tried helping the pain by perscribing me fentanyl patches (I think it's like morophine). I also take pills for breakthrough pain. It can vary alot from person to person, the sciatic nerve can create problems with walking and become quite painful, swelling can develop, and it may become difficult to sit for longer than 10-15 minutes at a time, bending, squatting, etc. all become difficult. Some people use a walker with a seat, that way if they can't stand for very long, they will have a place to sit under any situation. It's just a way of life you eventually get used to. Pain sucks.
