Aerobic is the best for increasing the metabolism for that day. Weight training seems to provide a longer metabolism adjustment. But, both must be continued to keep giving benefit. I consider the CHEATING EXERCISE to be the one that works for most people. I call it a cheater because, you find something you really like to do that gets you active and then you will forget that you are actually exercising. Find one of those and you have found Gold.
