Honey Buns is the piece of steak a little girl gets. Say What?

Tonight I was watching the football game and during halftime Dion Sanders said something I never heard before. There were 3 guys talking about Honey Buns, you know the gooey delicious pastry. Dion said, "In the African American community a Honey Bun is the piece of steak a little girl gets." Has anyone else ever heard of this or was it maybe just something the Sanders family might have said and Dion thought everybody else used it too? I looked everywhere online I could think to find it and never found anything.
