I need to change my bathroom vanity. Is it a case of disconnecting all the piping from the faucet, detaching the vanity and then rehooking it up when new vanity put in place? Seems easy but is there more to it than what I think?

That's basically it, but it can be harder if you need to move the pipes and drain depending on the type of vanity that was there and the one being installed. Also other small details like for example: if the vanity doesn't cover the same floorspace you will need to add tile, or whatever your floor covering is.

Yes, there can be. there are all kinds of problems that can arise. To name a couple, pipe might break or need to be replaced, or one of the connections on the faucet might be rusted together
