In about 5,000,000,000 years when the sun envelopes most of our solar system while it's in it's death throes, If we manage not to kill ourselves by then. And if we've moved to other planets by then, maybe around 12,000,000,000,000,000,000 years from now when the whole universe may implode on itself.

If you're curious about the 2012 phenomena but have absolutely no clue what it's about, then I highly recommend this DVD 2012: Science Or Superstition . This film has some good information about 2012 with some interesting interviews. It contains an outstanding discussion about the Galactic Alignment or end of the Mayan Calendar which was known to other civilizations such as the Incans, Egyptians and referred to in the Vedas apparently.

Elijah is right. The wold won't end til the sun supernovas. What most people mean when they say the end of the world is the end of mankind. There are several events that could occur any time now that would come close to doing that.

Massive volcanic eruptions, which I put a high level of probablility on in the next 100 years.

The Earth's magnetic poles shifting. Which seems to occur about every 600,000 years and is overdue, and has a very high probablility level

The Earth's axis shifting, which is possible, but doesn't have a high probability.

Each of those events could, if severe enough, end mankind. But let me put it this way. I'm not terribly worried.

As far as 2012, we simply don't know enough about the Mayans to know what they were predicting accurately. We only know they predicted a major event at this time.

.The world will not end.....however, the world  AS WE KNOW IT will end....Read your bible..You will find that not only is it Gods message to us of his plans, it is also a great history book..There will be a third world war, most of the cities of the world system will be destroyed..An evil man (worse than Hitler )will arise and convince most of the inhabitants that he is their savior.(.Remember Hitler had the people of Germany sure that he was the messiah, until his true nature came out..),millions will die,most of the greens of the earth,(grass, trees, all vegetation) will be destroyed..Creator God will step in, restore the greenery,  get rid of the evil men and women, and restore our earth to what it was supposed to be ..and once again our planet will be a garden of eden, as He had intended it to be in the beginning..............
