I am not sure just what you mean by "the fight to save the earth". If you refer to the current alarmist flap over "global warming" (now known as "climare change" since the average global temperatures have actually decreased since 1999, much to the consternation of the alarmists who want to use the excuse of global warming to impose new government taxes and controls of your rights), the earth is really just doing what it has been doing for many millennia -- warming and cooling in cycles, which means human activity is making no significant contribution to the current changes in climate, contrary to what Al Gore and other alarmists would like you to believe. (What very few people seem to understand is that most private individuals and companies that are pushing the idea that human activity--principally the burning of fossel fuels--is responsible for the alleged current global warming are poised to make huge amounts of money if they can convince people to force a shift by government fiat to wind or solar power, thereby creating a market for products in which they have heavily invested.)
All that said, there is a need and an oppportunity for young and old alike to ensure that we all are being good stewards of the natural resources with which God has blessed our planet. Stewardship doesn't mean locking up things so they can't be used and thereby denying people the enjoyment of their benefits, but rather ensuring their wise use so they are not wasted irresponsibly. How do you do that? First, be sure that you know the FACTS about our environment and our resources so that you can contribute knowledgeably to discussions about them, and not be swayed by political or self-serving biased pronouncements of others that use false premises and junk science as their reasoning. Second, don't be afraid to speak out when you encounter false doctrines. Third, vote sensibly, and do not support political activities that are not factually based.
