Royal Albert Hall do free live concerts on Fridays. The Blues Kitchen in Camden Town....there are loads in Chalk Farm / Camden Area if you get in early enough, before 9pm.
The best way to tell is to check timeout London by the week .
The Phoenix in Cavendish Square near Oxford Circus has free acoustic music on some Sundays run by StrippedBareAcoustic.
It's a very nice bar too. They have single malt whiskeys which I personally like!
