The end of the world....12/21/2012

Back in 2006 every one that the world was going to end on 6/6/6 and it didn't. So I don't think its going to  happen this time.

I don't know.  Like Lido (and God) says, how could I?  That 2012 stuff is based on the Mayan calendar.  I choose to look to the Word of God for my answers and clues.  Of course, it isn't given, but I'm looking at late September or early October of 2011.  My best GUESS is on or about October 1, 2011.  The important thing is to get ready while you still can.  He IS coming.  PEPARE YOURSELF and may our Good Lord have mercy on you, your family, and your immortal soul abuntantly and always.  AMEN.

Well, I'm certainly still here, so it must not have happened yet.  I'm sorry, but I cannot offer the correct citations or strong arguments to what is, at best, educated speculation.

I have been listening to Bible teacher, Harold Camping, on Family Radio out of Oakland, California for years.  That is where I got my opinions.

He is a Bible student and lay teacher.  You don't have to have a divinity degree or be an ordained minister, priest, or rabbi to understand the Word of God.  You have only to read it and, if you really know what you are doing, ask our Heavenly Father to illuminate your mind and impart the insight to see clearly His HOLY RIGHTEOUS WILL.

1. Mayan Calendar



The first mob to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, a bloodthirsty race that were good at two things:

Building highly accurate astrological equipment out of stone and
Sacrificing Virgins.

Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the Earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it's likely they've got the end of the world right as well.

2. Sun Storms



Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery: our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic, and it's supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the Earth with so much radiation energy, it's been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse, and calculations suggest it'll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012..
