Those of us with diabetes are anxiously waiting for the possibility of stem cells "curing" diabetes. As this article points out it takes many years, experiments, money, successes and failure for this to be accomplished, if it is to be accomplished at all. The United States is just one of many countries in the world that are working in this area, and in some cases other countries are ahead of the US due to less restrictions placed on them. Perhaps in my lifetime a cure will be found. I am not giving up hope.
