I just emailed this to the white house

With Unemployment Benefits running out I do NOT think Congress should  be allowed to disband for the summer.  If the people who make up congress worked in a company and were working on a major project they would not be allowed to take vacation until the project was finished.  This should apply as well to Congress, especially when UI Benefits are a major source of income UNTIL a job comes along.

I think it is a disgrace that Congress are putting their needs before the people they are supposed to represent.

They always did put themselves first.  They have what they want, good pay, good health insurance, and a lot of other goodies.  But we put them there, so its up to us to take them out.  Its called voting.  And if you think your e-mail is going to get to them, THINK AGAIN.

life is good !!

i agree with voterperson.to make them stay they would have to agree.and i doubt they would.you need a lot of support and it would be hard to get.i think on the weekend of sept.11,2009,there will be a march on washington,d.c. by taxpayers.it will be sort of a boston tea party.it is basically taxpayers protesting all the crap thrown at us.i think grassfire.org can give you more info about the march.there you may be able to start a crusade.our government needs fixing and we have to make the politicians aware.in the meantime keep writing your elected officials.good luck and i'll take the time to email my elected officials and address your ideas.

The good thing about it, it gives Americans time to exercise their freedom of speech, hopefully will get through to our congressman that we do "not" want their Socialized Health Care"!
