sometimes when i get an email with a picture there is no picture but only a little box with a red X
That means that you do not have a graphic viewer to enable you to see the graphic.
Such a viewer is part of the indows XP package. There are any number free downloads on the net, one of whic is at this site:

It just means the picture was not downloaded properly or that it was not properly attached. you may need to ask the folks to resend it.
