Do you mean that the e-mail "address" gets added to your address book? If so, go to mail in the tool bar, then click your address book, then click on address book options. There is a box there that is for automatically adding these to your address book. Make sure that is unchecked and then save settings. If your whole e-mail is getting added to your address book, this won't help, and you might have to contact AOL.
