I think that starting with the field that attracts you the most would be the wise thing to do. You can always change you subject after finishing the first semester. Otherwise you can try to talk to people who study or studied those subject and hear their remarks and opinions.

Speak to people in both fields to get a general idea of both professions. The second step would be to take a psychometric test to determine where your strengths lie and if they conform to either. You can then begin to study in an engineering school to further define your direction since the first year for all engineering fields is basically the same.
