Does our current capitalistic economic system leave room for all good things to develop or will it hold back some things that could have otherwise make a difference in our world?

when you speak about good you are entering the realm of subjective thought, for every person defines good in a different way. If you ask me, I think that the answer is clear. There is no way to get around it.

Capitalism doesn't leave room, as a way of life, for certain moral principles such as taking care of the weak in your society and helping citizens that aren't productive. I don't see myself as a socialist but I think it would be wrong to say that capitalism leaves room for all good things to develop.

I don't think one necessarily have much to do with the other. There are good things that will occur because or despite capitalism, and things that will not for the same reasons.

Some people need freedom, others need constraints.
