Everything in creation has properties. Thie whole rock we live on is minerals, so of course, everything made of it has minerals. Some not so good, some good. Its the manipulation of these minerals that get people confused...
By the way, If governments really cared about jobs and the creation of them, they would pull their heads out of eachothers butts, and instead of creating jobs, only their rich friends can have. They would be building recycling plants like mad men. Almost everything can be recycled, and every city of resonable size should have a major plant to recycle all they can...All plastics are made of oil, yet somehow winds up in landfills...It would take an honest and good government to get this started, unfortunately, they do not exist... People should insist on this, why they choose to ignore this, simply drives me angry... How many plants out there, laying empty, and all they need is to be fixed up, converted. But when the rich cannot make a hefty profit off good things, well, it shows they don't care... Look at all the tranportation costs that could be saved, if cities had this, let tires being neweded, then less oil to make the tires. All things are connected, and they can go round and round, instead of to an overfilled dump. People are begging for jobs, and goverment, ( I don't know, lack of brain cells I figure) just cannot think of this. They would rather create overpaying jobs that are not even needed... We need honest government, not the crap we have now...
