I recently bought a Wharfedale portable dvd player ...

I recently bought a Wharfedale portable dvd player (10" screen)...I'm noticing now while viewing the bottom of the screen is white..just a small portion of the bottom..not enough to interfere with viewing but I wonder is this the start of bigger problems to come...any ideas?
