A duck feeding fish

Take a look at this video of a duck feeding fish. Brilliant, isn't it? But I can't understand why a duck would do such a thing. Ideas?

A baby is God's opinion that life should go on

Sandburg, Carl

As the Lord says " Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them."

I guess the birds wanted to take care of somebody else for a change Wink

Maybe there are some things we just can't answer.  The ducks obviously knew that this food was something the fish would want to eat.  Maybe since babies have less of a survival instinct and perhaps because they are more innocent, the duck just wanted to help.  Either way, the video is rather cute.

The duck is very smart. It feeds the fish to fatten them up until they are large enough for the duck to have a tasty meal. This may be an area where fish r scarce and the duck has learned to keep the low stock supplied with food. This helps the fish and also the duck to survive.
