Very dry skin

It is really cold in my room and I usually leave the heater on while I fall asleep and set it on a timer. The problem is that it really dries out the air. My skin is so dry. I have tried to apply lotion before bed but still wake up flaky and very dry. What can I do?

I'll search, while you Cool wait.

Purchase a humidifier or keep a pot of continuous boiling water on a stove or hot plate burner in oder to create moisture in the air.

NOTICE: By the time you have noticed this notice, you will have noticed that this notice is not worth noticing.

I agree that you should use a humidifier, but using a pot of boiling water or a hot plate is extremely dangerous. What would happen if the water ran dry?  The stove or hot plate would melt the pot, and start a fire.  Or, you might knock over the pot when you get up in the night, and cause a serious or fatal burn.  It is much better to use a humidifier in your bedroom, and continue the use of the skin moisturizer; you will be surprised how quickly your skiin will improve.  You will sleep much better as well, as your nasal passages and throat will become less dry.

In summary, humidifier plus skin moisturizer.

I understand Dr. Dave about the hot plate and boiling water.  i was just trying to suggest something in the interim in case the humidifier can not be purchased yet.  I figured it wouldn't really be any different than placing a pot on a stove. I'm certain if anyone have to use a burner/pot method, safety precaution will always be considered first.

My skin is very firm and moisturized after using just whole milk ( or even better - goats milk ) for my bath. Sometimes  I put Olive oil into my bath too and it really works. i don't have to use any body balm after.

I have more  natural ideas about how to make skin softer and moisturized here ;
