Assuming you're not breast feeding, you can wait till after you're off the oain killers before you drink again.
If you're breastfeeding it's probably better to stay off the wagon till you stop.
If you drink while breastfeeding, make sure you pump the milk and throw it away, and wait at least 8-12 hours before the next feeding.

Preferably drinking alcohol is a big no and it is a big taboo issue in different parts of the world. Physician advices a mother after giving birth to a baby via c-section not to drink alcohol most especially when the mother breastfeed the baby because it can help the baby to develop decrease immune system thus possible immune-compromised will be granted to the baby of the mother. But then in medical field moms body return to its original size after a 6 month of pregnancy. Thus by that time our body is capable now adopting the later activity. Simple advice from me, never drink alcohol because there is no guarantee and no good effect in our health the substance can give.
