Hi, it's actually made in Broxburn near Edinburgh (South east Scotland). As far as I can tell, it's never been made commercially anywhere except this lowland corner of Scotland and the whole connection to the highlands and islands, whilst grounded in some fact, is a bit of a marketing gimmick.
