The road to nowhere is paved with good intentions.

Mine would be to Decorate Filthy Rich people's Homes! I love decorating, and always imagined what it would be like to be handed an unlimited amount of money, free to use my own style and taste, my own imagination to decorate some huge beautiful Homes. That would be fun!... My dream job!

One with no boss breathing down my neck. I am intelligent and responsible, I do not need a 'supervisor.'

I want my boss to be available in case I have a question but other than that I want him or her to stay out of my way and let me do my job - do NOT micro-manage me!

I also do not want to be told when to take a break or what time to go to lunch; I will decide when I am at a stopping point in my work as well as when I am hungry.

Finally, I want the freedom to come and go as I please - no punching time clocks! I will work as many hours as I deem necessary to get the job done, which usually means that I am working on my own time (and my own dime)!

Guess my dream job is going to have to involve having my own business - as I doubt an employer would go for any of that!

Well, i am happy and satisfied with my job as an forex trader and blogger. Thats all because i have a good forex online broker with is helping me in most of my trades.

jkgram, you are starting to scare me with how much we have in common. I am licensed to work as a nurse though currently on sabbatical. I have issues with authority figures. I cannot stand well, kinda what you described. My dream job would be to be a top official in a political arena where they make decisions for the healthfield and our "policies etc..." I would make every person who wants to make a law or whatever have you have to work a week in the field so they would know what it is like out in the trenches. I HATE what politics has done to nursing. It has given so much paperwork, decreased the staffing and so much more with their bright ideas that taking care of the patient properly is near impossible. Imagine having so many people sick, recovering from surgery or dying that needs you...and there you are...alone (more than not) having to set priorities on who needs you more. Is that torture? I think so. Have these so-called Sealed ever worked out there? Do they know what it's like? Welcome to my meltdown. I have not worked since June of '08? By the way, did you know that I am also the cause of Cancer, MS, Parkinson's Disease? Make that all diseases and illnesses because some families appreciate you while others lash out at you. Cry

Be honest and be true to yourself.

Hi,

I guess my dream job is to own several apartment buildings and just to collect

the rent every month.  I don't like working for someone else.  The hospital has so many regulations, so many pages of computer charting and so many personalities who want to " brown-nose" the manager.
