Asked about “If there is no HSDPA signal will I be able to use 3G and GPRS? on QueryCAT”

I can only download from it when the dongle detects HSDPA and not 3G

I have a 3 Dongle, but i can only download from it when the dongle detects HSDPA and not 3G. So when i roam from a HSDPA area into a 3G area the downloading stops. I Have been on to 3 about it and they have tried altering the settings of the dongle and reset my internet explorer back to default. Also applications like MSN messenger doesnt work either. I have tried disabling my firewall and antivirus but to no avail. Is there something wrong with my computer settings?
