The lowest servant in Heaven is still in Heaven.

Whoever rules in hell is still in hell, but they won't rule for long.

A:

Apparently, none of you people ever had a long series of run-ins with the acerbic Dr. Sagan.  He was a shrewd manipulator, I will give him that.  But the way he treated others who hoped to enter the scientific community was a blot on the name of science.

You people will soon enough discover that charisma only masks a treacherous individual whom you must not trust.  And a seemingly gruff exterior usually conceals a heart of gold.

Until you people get over your hangups about appearances, you will be the victims of treacherous people like Carl Sagan.

Neta, this is not the one I want to read.  The one I want to read would not show up.  I got only the oops page.  I am going to check my email and forward it to you.

Neta

I understand. It must have been removed.

Njoy, I am the one who deleted it. Regardless of provocation, I try never to speak ill of the dead.  But I believe a word of explanation is genuinely in order.

Dr. Sagan made many contributions to science, I will say that.  But the people he ran out of science would have contributed far more.

That's okay with me Rockmike3.  I'm sure deleting that was a mature decision on your part.  I was simply curious.  However, if you ever feel so inclined, I'd love to know what you said in your presentation to Mr. Sagan regarding Intelligent Design/or A Creator's existence etc.  I can't help it.  I am and have always been, a curious soul.

Njoy, the math and physics is a bit involved. To really clinch the case, we'll need to have a clear basic understanding of particle physics, M and P theory, some integral and a bit of Abelian math.

However, allow me to share the first element of the paper we published in 1977 and later in 2007 -- on the thirtieth anniversary of our first publication.

E=MC^2 is the "summary equation" of Special Relativity. It conforms with thermodynamics, conservation of energy/mass, and Uniform Field Theory.

Where:

E=energy (all forms). M=mass (rest mass). C=speed of light in 4-dimensional space (XYZT). X=lateral dimension. Y=parallel dimension. Z=vertical dimension. T=time dimension.

Here we have 4-dimensions, which will suffice for the moment. These dimensions allow us to locate objects inside a time/space framework and plot its trajectory against the trajectory of other objects.

Consider: conservation of mass/energy laws, confirmed by innumerable controlled experiments, dictate that nothing can create or destroy itself by any natural means. Relativity confirms that all matter/energy/space are different manifestations of the same thing: time. Whereas X, Y, and Z dimensions are static dimensions, time is a dynamical dimension, that grants all other dimensions their very existence.

Therefore, all that exists is a function of time.

Without exhaustive theory, I can only attest that time is the medium that transmits gravity: it is therefore the "universal quantum" that many of my colleagues presume must be the postulated graviton.

This only deals with 4-d space/time, whereas other theories suggest an 11-dimensional space-time, which interestingly enough confirms work done by Team Genesis thirty years before M and P theories were first proposed.

If you want to see people argue with a sign post, we must be physicists. But as spirited as the debate may get, and as disrespectful as we may appear, we get used to it and take it as a form of humor. If it appears that Ph.D. laureates get down and dirty among ourselves, we take it as a sign of acceptance.

In short, if you wrestle in the mud, expect to get dirty.

Sorry for the bum link, folks. It would appear that the mud-wrestling debate sessions have ended for cause of proper sanitation.

oh geeze...and just when I was about to click....

Check out the biocentric universe theory: Life Creates Life article in Discovery May 2009.  From a book: Biocentrism: How Life and Consciousness Are the Keys to Understanding the True Nature of the Universe, by Robert Lanza with Bob Berman, published by BenBella Books.

The theory is from the 1920s, but interesting enough to discuss today.

Since you are a Christian, I'd like your opinion on this particular subject.  Not only does the tree that falls in the forest not make a sound when it falls, without an observer, it was never there in the first place.

Chaplain John

I have seen much of Sagan's work. His beliefs in atheism, evolution, and much else that was hotly condended left his case a bit threadbare.

I am a man of God but I also understand a little science. I will say that evolution leaves a number of questions unanswered.

For example, why do jellyfishes have all the responses of an intelligent entity, without the brain Sagan claimed was necessary for thought or instinct? If the human species is the most complex, then why do chimpanzees and cetaceans have more genes in their chromosomes than we do?

Cornell University did a number of experiments intended to discredit the idea that God created life. They failed terribly: their charge flask experiment yeilded several amino acid precursors, but these precursors never were able to form peptides -- much less any nucleic acid or its congeners.

Perhaps the greatest embarrassment Sagan faces is that he is now ready to disprove his own pet theory -- that God does not exist, and that we should all convert to Hindu.

Have no question about it, God is just, and the justifier of the unjust.

In Jesus' Name, I bid you and the late Carl Sagan, eternal peace.

Chaplain, the word that throws evolution and atheism into humiliation is ... [drumroll, please] TELOMERE.

Telomerase is the LAST molecule formed in the duplcation of DNA in cellular mitosis. Telomeres then check the DNA in the cell and if it is incorrect, the telomere puts the cell into apotopsis: cell death. Ithappens in only one of 2.7 X 10^7 cells.

In short, there is absolutely no way that evolution could possibly work.

I will admit that atheists are quite ignorant, but far worse than ignorance, they selectively bar Christians and Jews from higher education. They do so to perpetuate the atheist myth and the atheist religion that depends on half-knowledge, myths, and brainwashing to survive.

Ignorant as atheists are by their definition, they still demand thyat anyone whose mind is open to the scientific truth is, and I quots Sagan, "A religious fool that cannot be trusted with our knowledge."

If hypocrisy knows a lower or more contemptible definition, I do not know what it might be.
