If your interested in culture, families, lifestyles and opportunities to live for.  As a peace maker for those around us your message is important. A world is at our finger tips.  Take the time to explore about places, sites, take on new hobbies in making your business grow.  For some it's one day at a time.  For a family, it's a life time.

Having a pet in your own home means special moments in a person's life and this brings individuals to learn not just about human beings, but animals as well.  I am a pet owner of several groups, mice, cat, fish and dogs.  They all have a similiarity in them that I find unique.  When I was a child at the age of 8 years old, my parents grew up raising and caring for such animals.  The question is what type of animal will be useful for a family?   I have several answers that solved my problem and here is why.

1.  A human person has many moods good and bad feelings, an animal of my interest and care for has given me these experiences.

Mice- although small like to stay awake at night but live simple and easy to care for little creatures.  Their not rats, their not pests, the are sold in stores for those who do not wish to have large animals in their home and they raise their little ones in a great manner that we do.  Caring for our children. I have watched the mother and she takes great care of all 8 of hers.  They have a fun home with a wheel and 3 story home feature.  It's an amazing family of the littlelest of pets to watch and observe.

cats - I own one cat she is of thick gray just like the image of the cat in the movie pet cemetary if you've ever seen the movie.  My cat also reminds me of Cat women as she mimicks her jumping off and on the furniture and also can speak to you.  I adopted her when I was at the age of 24 and I am now 48 years old.  She's a senior citizen in my book. My cat back then was around in during my most depressed years of my life.  I was expecting a child and was having difficulty breathing and baring my pains when contractions were in it's close term of delivery.  My cat would come and scratch at the door everytime she hears me in distress as I do cry when painfully feeling these feelings.  She would come right up to me and rub her body around my belly as if she was sensing need for comfort.  When she leaned on my belly, my pain immediately decreased and slowly it went away.  This worked each time I felt uneasy.  She for some reason knows when to come around me.  I can already understand her needs and she too has feelings of her own when she needs nuturing and caring.  She is treated like one of my dearest freinds.  She is a part of my family and the children have learned to adapt to her and play with her and know her.

Fish - I have 5 fish that swim in an aquairium and I enjoy relaxing by my sofa when a rough day at work has occured.  Two of which are like vaccum cleaners that are brown and have black spots.  The other 3 are gold fish that come from the same families but different features.  Their glowing smooth like motions about in the aquarium is like a hipnotic stage of illusion but in a very scerene way.  They too have a remarkle way of greeting me each morning and evening when they see my smile looking at them from the aquarium glass.  My children help me clean, water and decorate their home at least every 6 - 12 months.  Fish is a great way to take problems that are happening in the real life world to bring you peace and relaxation on your own home. The idea of sea movements and water sounds about of thier world is an amazing thing to grasp at that very moment.  The best time to watch them is at night and when you are relaxing right in your home away from it all!

dogs - Which brings me to answer the writers question.  A man's best freind is indeed his owner.  They have the skills and knowledge that the other pets listed above does not have.  The sensitivity to protect their owner, play with their owner, listen to their owner, and guard thier owner at anytime night or day.  The dogs great sense of skill is how they have a relationship with their owner.  I own two named Chiby and Rosco.  I took in to adopt the two when I met a freind who had more puppies and dogs around their house that they could imagine.  My children fell in love with the two which it was only fair if I were to adopt one, then lets make it two.  Both are considered mix bread but play the role of individual characters within both that we found a need to take home with us that day, which we did.  Your dog, has learned to be attached to you from what ever it is your doing that brings him/her closer to you.  Every dog has thier own capacity to know how much their pet owner cares for them.  Without doubt your animal will protect you from unwanted visitors and will act unless you other wise command him or her to stop.  Some pet owners go beyond the steps to even dress up their dogs.  The most endearing part of my two dogs and I am sure perhaps like your buddy, is they are fun to be around with and have demonstrated good habits already which this is why it's no problem to have them sleep next to you.  They want you near because they too know that you will in return protect them.  As this is my opionion, with what they have that man does not is the sense of smell for danger.  They know and they react to that.  Gladly to know your pet loves you too.  And for any pet owners out there, the same goes for you too.

He feels secure being so close to you and it makes him happy.  When he was a puppy, all the other pups were close.

You are the pack leader and he loves you. My 90lb. lab sits on my lap like he's a small dog. Dogs as a rule like to be close to those they love. Enjoy the love.

I don't see any problem with your dog sleeping next to you.  If he sleeps on top of you, then I think he is exerting his dominance over you though.  That's probably not a good idea as you must always be the pack leader.

Dogs are like cats and all others that have a bond and relationship with a human being.  I see that your dog is close to you perhaps for reasons that you already take care of him or her.   They have a unique way of expressing themselves to their master or family members if they are house broken and live in the home.  My cat name Rumtum has that exact reaction when I am lying on the bed or on the couch just resting.  They are able to sense your warmth and want to cuddle.   By allowing the animal to be close to you also stregthens the bond.  Not all inidividuals find sleeping with the pets healthy as other facters go with those with their own opinion.   It is however nature's way of a human being caring for another but in this case an animal.  I really think alot and try to understand Animal Planet, or Discovery Channel series and I find that animals are great care givers themselves and are good survivers.   Nature is meant to be appreciated.  It goes along in Noah and Ark.   My family has raised animals especially rot wielers, pit bulls, chawawas, german shepards, and even picanese dogs of all size and shapes.   They are very much handy companions in their own way and can also protect you from danger.  It is the 6th sense that they have that we don't have and I thank God for giving them that gift.   Just keep caring for you dog because he/she shows their affection in return.   Bare in mind that in any relationship just like humans, disciplining them to correct an inappropriate behavior is just telling them we love them.   I love my cat, she is a senior citizen like myself.  Single still and never had the chance to find a soul mate.   No it's how you handle caring for your pet.   Because my cat Rumtum knows, when I am depressed, it never fails with her, she knows when to be by my side without me calling her.  What a gift of her 6th sense.   She is playful when she wants to be.   Show your support and take care of your animals, like humans, even the neglected ones will leave you or harm you in one way.   Take a look at the Discovery channel and Animal Planet both to remarkable television series that children must watch.  What I learn from an animal is not only demonstrated in real life on how they care for their young, but it's how they are able to survive from terrible weathers and know where to go for shelter.   There amazing and I thank God for placing his story in Noah and the Ark as for one main reason, animals were created.   Your doing much a good dog handler and remember I don't spoil mine, I just teach her and correct them when I need to
