A Boxer.  They are very loval and DOOOOO Love to Lick.  No Drooling. Just make sure that you are the boss with any pup.  Disapline is good; Abuse is NOT!!!!  They have to have rules so they grow into a great Older Dog.Smile  Paula

Im sorry but Boxers are very spirited and lively if this person does not want a high maintenance dog a Boxer is not good choice.Golden retrievers are excellent dogs but all the water and working dogs need just that work and water.Go adopt an older mix from pound that will be your companion and friend and lick you

I have two mixed-breed dogs that I picked up from a shelter at the same time. I've have pure-bred dobies, pit bulls and beagles, so I've had from large to small dogs. I honestly would never again get a pure bred dog again. Our mixed dogs were so happy to come home from a shelter, that they have nothing but love and were ready to do anything they were told - which made them so much easier to train. Also, it's the first time I took on 2 dogs at the same time and that has become a good thing and a bad thing. There's more hair to clean up, and I have to deal with giving love, simultaineous to both dogs when I come home, but they keep each other company while I'm at work, so they are never lonely.
