Why doesn't IE offer to remember a password from a specific site. How can I fix it?

Have a look at a password manager, such as roboform (www.roboform.com).

Web browsers don't save passwords for secure sites. Is this the case with your question?

Yes. Is there still something I can do about it?

In my opinion, no. I think that saving passwords to secure sites is not possible to keep them secure.

I don't use IE but I don't have any problems of this sort with Firefox or Opera. Unless I'm misunderstanding his definition of a secure site (i.e. GMail) then EscApe is wrong.
