Why doesn't the United States send their troops to Lebanon?

Why doesn't the United States send their troops to Lebanon? George Bush always claims to be in favor of peace in the region, so why doesn't he act by his own words?

The United States has military present in 156 countries around the world, from Japan and Germany to Diego Garcia and Djibouti.However, Lenabon will likely not support U.S. troops as Israel will not support troops from Bangladesh.

Two reasons:

First of all, The arabs are totally against US forces on arab land and it would jeoperdize the whole deal. Shiates in general hate Americans almost as much as they hate Israeli's.

Second reason is that France wants to lead this force and the though the US is fine with it, they're forces will not accept a french comand.

Israel and the US have a mutual defence agreement... (though i don't think the US needs us to defend it.. hehe)... so I guess having American troops in Lebanon just won't fly.

For the record, I'm against any foriegn trrops in Lebanon.

one word to your question: Iraq

Today the total casualties on Iraqi and Afghan soil is equivalent to the number of casualties on 9/11!

The U.S, with the Bush government leading, even with it's great support to Israel will not jeapordize its soldiers in an "unnecessary" deployment.
