I have a new electric meter on my old house, connected to a disconnect box, then connected to a 200A panel in a new building. I've grounded the new panel to 2 grounding rods and plumbing, and the new meter box to 2 grounding rods at the old building, but the inspector said I need to connect the grounding rods of the old building to the disconnect. Why does it matter? How do I do that?
