I have a ceiling fan that's less than 2 years old. The fan doesn't work but the light on it works. Is there anything electrical that would cause this? or should I jsu get a new fan?

Life is too serious not to have a sense of humor.

BK-

I see a new fan in your future. If the fan and light are controlled by a single switch, then your fan is dead.

I am not trying to be offensive here. I say that because sometimes I am. But check the switches and stuff on the fan. The rotational control might be in a neutral position. The on-off switch for the fan could be broken.

If you or a friend have a volt-ohm meter, you could quickly figure out what the problem is.

As they say in LA- Watts happenin'

This profile was made using only pure recycled electrons

Could be a faulty or loose wire, if you hear anything then it can be the bearing, or it also can be the motor it self.
