If your refrigerator has a through-the-door ice dispenser, then are you sure it's really leaking water?  My Hotpoint side-by-side had a defect where the small flapper door inside the ice dispensing chute wasn't closing all the way.  This allowed warm air from the kitchen to enter freezer, condense to water then freeze to ice, and jam up the whole ice maker mechanisim.  It was repaired free of charge under a factory recall.
