Distilled water is acidic! According to the Environmental Protection web site, "Pure distilled water would have tested neutral, but pure distilled water is not easily obtained because carbon dioxide in the air around us mixes, or dissolves, in the water, making it somewhat acidic. The PH of distilled water is between 5.6 and 7.

5.6 is slightly acidic which is not any kind of health issue at all.  Our bodies can handle a wide range of Ph levels.  Drinking acidic water, or even more acidic fruit juices will not "turn your body acidic."

Do not fall for the scammers out there who are pushing alkaline water (for $2000 you can buy a thing that makes acidic and alkaline water!) and special food products.  This is all weird science and a huge scam.  I know a few people who buy into this nonsence and I feel sorry for them.  Do not be afraid of good, clean water of any kind.  Do a bit of research if you are concerned.  Try not to read anything by anyone who is selling a product.
