Hi,
A very complicated situation.  I read carefully your notes.  It's not so simple as you presented it.  No offence please but if he really loved you he wouldn't leave you and he wouldn't check his relations with that other girl.....  so, I believe he is simply confused and doesn't really know what to do..... the best you can do is sit aside, do nothing, just wait.  If he calls all you should say is: "I am waiting for your final decision".   Would he agree that you check your relations with another guy ? - I bet the answer is "no"....  Return to him only when he says: "My final decision is to be with you for good".

Its never too late to ask.

You can't compare his parents to your situation, you've never been married right? As for the branches, you have a lot to learn about trees, and no one walks the middle of a street.

Cool Boy! What planet are you from? Anyway, as I stated before, just keep waiting you can't see the forest for the straws(I used that because of your lack of knowledge re: trees) plus a few more..anyway good luck to ya kiddo. No other response is needed, as I will not answer your replies.

It's good you're being honest with yourself. You are broken up, but you're clear you would like to be back with him.

But it looks like he's not so sure. He's looking at other girls; but you're sitting and waiting. That's not fair to you. (If he finds a girl, you'll be left sitting. If he doesn't find a girl, at least he's got you waiting as a "backup.")

You need to meet people. You need to spend time with other friends, call other friends: and not just talking about this ex, either! 

You're a loyal gal. Don't let that love be used against you. It's ok for YOU to look around, too. And maybe you'll find a boy who loves you, and wants to be with you, as much as YOU love and want to be with that ex.

I have found the answer I had been looking for with the advice given to my answer and from family and friends. I have been able to sort things out for myself and with my ex and we are doing just fine as friends right now and will hopefully stay that way, the future is looking great and with signs of getting back together, but otherwise things are great!!
