How does the digital voice recorder help paranormal investgators?

When investigating a parnormal I see on tv show TAPs and some other reality show they use a digital voice recoder in there hand . What role does this digital recoder work in the field for them conduting investigation. How do they apply using recorder with looking for ghost and asking question while the recorder is on?

I don't know the answer to that, but it sounds pretty interesting... I would imagine it has something to do with the whole "white noise" theory? That the spirits can transmit through the different frequency.....

Cool question ~ I would like to see it answered by someone who knows...

Voice recording equipment is used in an attempt to capture what is known as an EVP, or Electronic Voice Phenomenon. Do a google search for it and you'll find tons of creepy fun that you can do at home!

just because you can't see it, doesn't mean you can't believe it.

im actually in a group like taps so i can really help u out. evps are used bcuz sometimes, the ghost will be talking but the human ears are to weak to hear it. therefore, if u catch the voice on the evp, u can hear wat it is saying even though u couldnt hear it wen the ghost was actually saying it.
