As far as I know this model's the best choice at 7 megapixel : PowerShot A710 IS

It has a great optical zoom (x6) and an Image Stabilizer.

Main disadvantage - slow flash recharge (4-5 seconds) because there are only 2 batteries.

Yeah you were 21 when I was born in '66 ... (:

Regretfully I'm not familiar with Casio models. I'm a big Canon fan :)

I suggest that you read some material in dpreview.com :

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Casio/

For each model you can find a pro review and also owners' opinions, e.g. the  S770 :

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/read_opinions.asp?prodkey=casio_exz770

Sorry I can't provide any personal knowledge here :)

Regards, Shimon.

20 thumbs up

mesmd, are you sure you got the right model number there? Maybe you're talking about the EX-S770? I thought about getting one of them (the design is almost irresistible to me) but the x3 optical zoom is not enough for me.

If that's the model you're asking about, you can read a review of it here:
